...is classically trained and has studied violoncello and bassoon. He developed a keen interest
in early music in the late 1980's and has become proficient on a variety of period wind and string
instruments. He has appeared locally with the Puget Sound
Revels, the Portland Revels, the
Tudor Choir and
Team Blockflute. Always on the lookout
for on new musical experience, he joined the Seattle Mandolin
Orchestra playing mandocello, and soon after, was invited to join in forming the Emerald City
Mandolin Quartet. David can be heard on recordings by Rainweal (violoncello), and the early music
ensemble Jouissance (various period instruments).
